Gold Coast Healing Connection

Gold Coast Healing Connection (GCHC) is a community designed to support people in all stages of cancer treatment through fitness, mind body intervention and social connection.
Cancer takes a toll on your body and your soul.  I've been there so I understand what you're dealing with.  Getting back to your pre-cancer fitness level will take work, but you can do it.  If you're committing to fitness for the first time, there's no better time to start than TODAY!
It is recommended by CETI and ACSM that you do some form of cardio activity every day starting with 10 minutes walking and increasing the time and intensity up to :30 as you build strength and stamina.  Strength training helps to build lean muscle and minimize bone loss while improving the efficiency of your cardiovascular training and should be done 2-3 times/week.
At GCHC our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment for our clients to heal, gain strength, build confidence and improve or restore normal movement patterns.
We offer a non-clinical environment, one-on-one sessions in a private space, connection to other survivors via group classes and a full range of services to help heal mind, body and soul.
We are CETI trained and qualified Cancer Exercise Specialists, with a comprehensive understanding of the stages of treatment, side effects and reconstructive procedures.  We design customized exercise programs based on each client's individual unique journey, aimed at improving physical strength and flexibility, reducing pain and fatigue, and promoting enhanced vitatlity.
